TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian Women's Cricket National Team (Timnas) made their debut in the Qualification round for the 2020 Women's Cricket World Cup.
Playing in Vanuatu, Monday, May 6 2019, Andy Cottam's team appeared unexpectedly by beating Japan with a landslide score.
Indonesia, who bowled earlier, managed to put the pressure on the Japanese Batsman 101/6 in 20 overs.
The slick duet of bowling fast bowler, Nety Sitompul and spiner, Taskia Hanum was enough to make the Japanese players confused.

The brilliant performance of the Indonesian batsman trio, Yulia Anggraeni, Winda Prastini and Nanda Sakarini further strengthened Indonesia's position. They managed to silence Japan in the 17th over (T20 format) with a score of 102/3 (17 over) – 101/6 (20 over).
