"As a non-Commonwealth country, with more than two hundred thousand young cricket players in Indonesia, PP PCI has achieved outstanding achievements for Indonesia," he said.
Currently, the Indonesian Women's National Team (Timnas Putri) is ranked 20th in the world, while the Men's National Team (Timnas Putra) holds the 56th position. In January, the U-19 Women's National Team returned after securing one victory in the World Cup.
"In this spirit and achievement, Cricket Indonesia, with the support of KONI Central, will continue to advance to bring glory to the nation in national and international competitions," Abhiram continued.
In his mission to advance the sport of cricket, Abhiram also informed that to prepare for upcoming tournaments, PCI is conducting independent National Training (Pelatnas) in preparation for the SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia and the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, as well as other global tournaments.
The leadership transition signifies a commitment to the development and promotion of cricket in Indonesia, aiming to elevate the nation's standing in the international cricket community.
