14 teams from various provinces across Indonesia to participate in the KONI Badung Sport Tourism (KBST) 2024.

MANGUPURA, NusaBali – A total of 14 teams from various provinces across Indonesia are participating in the KONI Badung Sport Tourism (KBST) 2024. The event, organized by the Badung Regency Board of the Indonesian Cricket Association (PCI), is centered at the Unud Field in Jimbaran Village.

The Chairman of PCI Badung, Made Widiana, explained that the Sport Tourism event is being held from June 5–11. Participants include teams from DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, and several clubs from the Badung and Denpasar areas.

"In total, there are 14 teams, both men’s and women’s. The event is already underway, and the finals will be held on June 11," explained Made Widiana on Sunday (June 9).

According to Widiana, the participating clubs include Seminyak Barong, UKM Unud, ATC, and teams from Denpasar. Of the 14 teams, 8 are men’s teams and 6 are women’s teams. They are divided into two groups, with 18 games for the men’s category and 16 games for the women’s.

“For the men’s groups, there are 4 teams per group. Meanwhile, the women’s groups consist of 3 teams per group,” said Widiana, who is also the Head of the Cooperative and MSME Office of Badung.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of KONI Badung, Made Nariana, stated that cricket is the first sport to organize a Sport Tourism event. He hopes the event will be a success and attract more tourists to Badung. At the closing ceremony, he plans to officially conclude the cricket event as the first activity of the sport.

“KBST has already started. Cricket is the first, and on June 11, the closing ceremony will be held at Unud Field in Jimbaran. After that, other sports will also conduct their respective events,” said Made Nariana.
