Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Indonesian men’s national cricket team overwhelmed Myanmar with a flawless 6-0 victory in the Bali Bash International Indonesia-Myanmar Series held in Bali from November 12 to 19.
Playing on home ground, the Red-and-White team dominated from the first match, excelling in all aspects of the game, including batting, bowling, and fielding. This victory underscores Indonesia's significant potential on the international cricket stage.
“This victory is a testament to the hard work of the players, coaches, and the entire support team. It’s not just a win for the national team but also a milestone in the development of cricket in Indonesia,” said the Chairman of the Indonesian Cricket Association (PP PCI), Abhiram Singh Yadav, in an official statement on Sunday.
“We believe this is just the beginning, and moving forward, we will continue to push for Indonesia to compete at higher levels,” added Abhiram.

In the second match, Myanmar adopted a more cautious approach, scoring 93 for 4 in the first innings. However, this target was too low to challenge Indonesia's batting prowess. Myanmar started to show resistance in the third match, scoring 117 for 5 thanks to an impressive middle-order performance. Despite early struggles, Indonesia's deep batting lineup proved crucial. Calmly, they chased the target to secure a five-wicket victory with several overs remaining.
Myanmar posed their toughest challenge in the fourth match, setting a score of 128 for 6, their highest in the series. However, Indonesia maintained their composure. In a tense scenario, the Indonesian batsmen chased down the target in the final overs, clinching a four-wicket victory.
The Red-and-White team returned to their dominant form in the fifth match, scoring 185 for 7 in the first innings, once again demonstrating their strong batting lineup. Myanmar, under immense pressure to chase the target, could only score 71 runs before their entire team was dismissed. Indonesia won the match by 114 runs.
The final match served as a perfect closing for the series. Myanmar fought back, scoring 102 for 6 in the first innings. However, Indonesia remained unstoppable, finishing the match in 13.3 overs to win by six wickets.
With this result, Indonesia achieved a flawless 6-0 victory, sweeping all matches without any significant obstacles. The series statistics highlighted Indonesia's exceptional dominance, with a total of 1,379 runs scored, including 113 fours and 43 sixes. The Red-and-White bowlers took 68 wickets, forced 12 Myanmar batsmen to be dismissed without scoring (ducks), and recorded five maiden overs.
